Campli Metals has been grinding mill rolls out of Stoney Creek since 1991. Two Farrel roll grinders handle work rolls, back-up rolls, bridle rolls and process rolls up to 49.75" in diameter and 34" between centres, with a 25-ton overhead crane covering the bay so rolls are handled once and handled safely.
Every roll is inspected on arrival, ground to the surface finish and crown your process calls for, and measured against your print before it leaves the floor. If a roll cannot be brought back to specification, you hear that during assessment rather than after the invoice.
